Dentists in Dubai | Dr. Dina Pediatric Dental Centre

At Dr. Dina Pediatric Dentistry Clinic, we make sure to alleviate anxiety.

We nurture a positive dental attitude in children, and offer quality oral health care by maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency for infants, children, adolescents, and persons with special needs.

We are all wary of new places. We are not sure what to expect. Fear, anxiety, or a previous unpleasant and painful dental experience can have a negative effect on how your child feels about seeing a dentist.

All our doctors have been trained to treat patients as their own children; they know how to alleviate fear and anxiety.

Our staff is adept at pain management. We identify painful practices based on our patient’s reaction and we do what is required to best manage the child’s pain. We understand that each child is different, and tailor our practices to meet their specific needs.

Pain assessment and management is critical during pediatric dentistry procedures as pain has a direct influence on the child’s behavior.

Prevention or reduction of pain during treatment is our dentist’s motto.

It allows us to build trust, calm the fears and anxieties of a child, and enhance positive dental attitudes for future visits.

We give great weight to observing changes in our patient’s behavior (e.g., facial expressions, crying, complaining, and body movement during treatment) to be able to evaluate pain properly.

The patient is the best reporter of their pain, we listen to them at the first sign of distress. This facilitates pain assessments and helps us adapt our procedures to enhance our patient’s experience in our dental home.

We deal with children’s behavior in a comprehensive and continuous way to develop and nurture the relationship between the child and the doctor, which ultimately builds trust and keeps doubts and fears at bay.

We believe that the presence of the parent in the dental room is key to gaining cooperation for the treatment. This is done by having the parent take part in the patient’s examination and treatment. Treatment for very young children is often done in their parent’s laps.

Early preventive care leads to less dental disease, decreased treatment needs, and fewer opportunities for negative experiences that can lead to behavioral issues in our you.

Nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation is a safe and effective technique that can be used to reduce anxiety and enhance effective communication.

It acts fast, its effects are well known and immediately reversible, and recovery is rapid and complete.

The objectives of nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation include eliminating anxiety, reducing untoward movement and reactions to dental treatments, raising the pain reaction threshold, increasing tolerance for longer appointments, aiding in treatments for special needs patients or medically compromised patients, reducing gagging, and potentiating the effects of sedatives.

We also use sedation for safety and efficiency purposes with patients who are unable to cooperate due to a lack of psychological or emotional maturity, and due to mental, physical, or medical disabilities.

The use of general anaesthesia can sometimes be necessary to provide quality dental care for a child and is done in a hospital.
